    Checked yer winch cable lately??

did you get a test cert or conformity doc with the rope? if you did then it should have the rope construction on it (usually 6x19 fc or similar) it will also have the diameter and length on there. keep these details somewhere safe and the next time you need a rope try a company like these...

    Non A/T tire

he doesn't want you to have a/t tyres because he will lose the second sale 30'000 miles down the line. a/t tyres are good for at least 50000 miles and usually a lot more. every 4x4 i've owned has had general grabber at's on them or equivilent and i have never had problems with tramlining or any...

    Towing ropes!

nearly right m8, factor of safety on a lifting sling is 7:1 so a 1 tonne sling will do 7 tonne. i use a 3tonne sling and have never had a problem but then again i don't do snatch recovery.

    Yet another "buying this tomorrow"

to be fair to the dealer he has been driving round in it for ages without problems, as well as the p38 he has for sale. macwest is about a 1/4 mile from our house, i wouldn't go there myself as he is bloody expensive but his cars are generally good un's:D

    Freelander 2 snow chains

yep, handier to carry, weight less and easier to put on but..... they are not as effective. i wouldn't use em again, i didn't have any confidence in em at all. they really struggle with deepish snow and ice where the chains just dig in and grip (good job they were samples:D)

    Freelander 2 snow chains
