I needed a steering knuckle for the FL2 - Bearmach were knocking them out at like £45 as clearance - I asked why, they said they were closing...sad to say the least!

Groovy - like I said - it can be done extended and is the method I used that way I *knew* it was extended and correctly positioned....but yes it took an age and having to put considerable pressure on it while getting the threads started was a faff.... Fingers crossed and keep us updated!

Timm is a good chap, access on the M62 in the L322 is easier than on the E31 8'er but still a faff....

I would extend it prior to fitment tis what I did - note: it needs a good push and hold while tightening it in place and it is a bit of a fiddle, but if you extend it before fitting - you know it is extended!

Yep...from 88/89 CL was available on the tailgate....this is from the 88/89 owners manual...

From what I can recall, the CL didn't lock the tailgate on the the CLassic - but the 1994/5 softdash I am not sure on....Will have to quickly check the manuals... EDIT: RAVE Shows the later classic (1995) did have tailgate lock on the central locking....gonna see if I can find references in...
