The early disco has 2 brake lines to each front caliper, where as the later ones have 1 line to each caliper. I think this is probably the difference. anyone else?

I have a 300tdi, and have just changed the donut for the second time this year. Yes it's lifted, but twice in a year?!? I have access to a 200tdi which i will remove the rear prop, fit new UJs and drive flange and swap it over. I just hope a new UJ will last longer than another donut..
