    2ltr petrol disco

just shows what can happen when the technically uneducated read the gibberish produced by journalists. just to clarify for you , crumple zones are parts of the bodywork designed to collapse in a semi controlled manner so the energy of an impact is dissipated by the engine bay and boot areas...

    ebay wot u reckon

he probably stuck it on on a 99p free listing weekend .... tight gits like that are just a pain in the butt, either pay for a reserve, buy it now or list at a realistic starting price otherwise all the watchers and bidders are just wasting their time.

    Can I?

going back to chopping metal.... angle grinders are designed to use abrasive discs... 9 inch grinder spins at arround 8k revs a similar sized wood saw designed to use toothed blades only spins arround 4k, so sticking an abrasive disc in a wood saw wont be very effective and youve also got the...

recommend me a decent bright headlight bulb

any of the brand named bulbs that claim 130% or 150 % brighter. tis worth checking what voltage is actually getting to the bulbs... fitting some relays so the bulbs actually get 12 volts can make a big difference if youve got dodgy wiring.

    what's best beginners landy

coil sprung defenders are overpriced compared to a disco 1..... series might bea s cheap as a disco but are a tin box on cart springs. apart from the comfort/noise /draught issues remember the series is mechanically a 1940,s design only part time 4wd, (no centre diff), no power steering...

Welders, explain them to me please...

the gas /gasless thing depends a lot on what yer going to be doing.... my mig basically comes out twice a year... disco mot and fourtrak mot time.... im putting patches on bits underneath... and splattering on layers of underseal stuff as well. so basically nobody is going to see the welds...

Welders, explain them to me please...

arc is fine for proper bits of metal over about an eigth of an inch thick .... its too fierce for bake bean tins and car bodies... for thin sheet steel you need a mig that will go down to below 50 amps some of the cheap ones dont. ive had a 180 amp arc set for years and can weld half inch plate...
