Doubt you will get too many takers for Freelander rallying - most of us are pleased if we get to the shops and back in one piece:) I could be wrong.

I think you know when its time to change it. A good VCU allows the car to drive normally in a straight line (almost imperceptible drag) and not have excessive tightening on full lock manoeuvres. Wet grass field test to establish connection to rears - if it comes on with a bang its the diff...

Makes sense. I changed mine around 80 but in hindsight it was well fooked when I bought it at 70. Just ignored it and got away with it!!

Same as what you have just done. Spacers bolt to top of strut, then up thru towers etc.

Bolts to top o strut, same as any spacer. When I had 40mm on mine they just cleared buy hairs breadth.

True that an attachment can be formed that is more than just a car - and for the record, I'm sure your Freelander is a splendid example and applaud your effort and skill in putting it together:)

Not sure I agree with all cars have quite so many troubles but Agree with your general sentiment. When I say fund an RR Sport, I refer to the means to purchase and maintain without financial concerns, as opposed to on a budget.

My bulbs just aint twinkly enuf and they don't switch on by themselves - you have to SEE its getting dark. Hopefully this will be put right in next purchase:rolleyes:

Ah, the wives - they only seem to notice if it actually stops in middle of road. Mine wont drive the Fleabag - hates it - suits me!!:)
