So today since I was off work I thought I'd make the very sensible decision and do some work on the 110... got a gas strut fitted on the rear door, refitted the chequer plate panel on the door and put one of those folding table things on it. Then the delivery guy came bearing gifts and I was digging into replacing my offside front wheel bearing. Mostly done but still a bit to go, I gave up at 5pm as I was a sweaty filthy sunburnt mess.

At it again for a second day in a row... finishing off the wheel bearing, which was easier said than done, having made a bit of a mistake yesterday! I got there in the end though, swivel housing refilled and went out for a drive. Still got a misfire under light load to investigate more and sort out but at least she's moving again... until I need to do the other side wheel bearing as that hub seems to be full of oil as well.

Painting the 90 over the last couple of days. It’s going from white to a kind of olive green. I’ve got the roof, rear roof side panels and doors off and painting them all while they are off, but the bodywork was so hot yesterday I’ve ended up with a rough finish. I think the spray was drying too fast due to the heat. It’s a satin finish I’m after though and the funny thing is I kind of like the textured finish I’m getting, but I can’t guarantee I’ll get it over the entire body 😏

A roller gets the right texture every time.
Sheep wool roller for smooth finish

Thoughts on my colour choice ???
I think it looks quite nice. I think I'd prefer it if mine was that colour rather than your typical army/nato green.

Speaking of mine... day 3 of doing things, I dug into the misfire, played about with things, got it running better... nearly couldn't get her started again in Lidl car park, then played around with stuff some more when I got home. Seems to be running better now, hopefully starting better too but I'll see how that goes. Maybe she'll make it to Arran in a couple of weekends after all! 🤞

Done the front propshaft UJs and refitted it then sealed a leak (hopefully) on the transfer box. Discovered that my rear prop now needs the UJs doing but that's a tomorrow job and with that off it'll let me sort out that diff flange leak as well.
