Hi,
Yes im old, no i know naff all and not shy to admit it
So here we go.
After many years ive picked up a Defender at last, im not experienced in mechanics so tech jargon will go straight over my now not full head of hair
Problem i could do with some help on is the fitted PTO (hydraulic capstan winch came with the Landy).
The pto engages, but it wont disengage when i pust the lever/button or knob if you prefer lol in and i have a constand red warning light to not reverse whilst its engaged. I took the center storage out to have a look and everything seems connected and moves ok.
If i take 1 or 2 of the wires off as seen on top the warning light goes off but ofc i still hear the pto running
any help would be appreciated on how i can fix it so it disengages
thanks
