Father TDCi

My problem started when I blew the fuse F9 on my 2.2 TDCi. When I replaced the fuse the alarm goes off as soon as I replaced the fuse but went off when I removed the fuse again. I also noticed at this point that there were no red dash lights to indicate the state of the alarm and the plip had stopped working. The fuse is central locking so I have disconnected all the central locking wires. I felt that the AS10 had been damaged and sourced a replacement which I have now fitted and although I can now replace the fuse without the alarm going off I still have no red light on the dash nor plip action. I have tried resetting the plip using my engine diagnostics box and just to cheer me up when it said press unlock 8 times the hazards flashed as they should have but once finished that was all I got. I still have no red light on the dash and cannot deactivate the immobilizer. I can turn the key fast and get the engine to crank until the immobilizer kicks in but it will always kick in and the engine never starts. The only fault reported by said diagnostics tool is a glow plug. Does anyone have any recomendations where to look next?

Welcome, have you stolen it?

Only joking, I think 馃
Do you have a local indy that can help you, they might have come across it before.

One thing I have noticed is the sound of the fuel pump still working but I do not know if that is normal with an immobilised engine. The lack of red light on the dash is not normal. Is there another part of the alarm system that may have been damaged?

Can anyone tell me what immobilizer I have on a 2.2 TDCi? I have to chose between Spider, EDC, DDS, Gems and Mems but I am not sure which is which.

For anyone trying to find out the answer to the immobilizer question, the TDCi 2.2 uses MEMS. The problem I was left with was not the alarm but synchronising all the buses between the ECUs. I had only been focused on the alarm adjustments and synchronising the buses is in the engine management. So now it is working and 3 MPH faster :)
