Hi I know that this is likely a very simple question, but I have searched the web and the forum without any luck. Can you please tell me how the front side lights are meant to be earthed? Mine are earthed on the back of the wing using a small bolt that passes through the wing and the light fitting..

Black wire in the light fitting through the wing to the engine compartment, and earthed via a ring terminal and bolt to the radiator panel. I think. I've augmented mine.

I hate electrics.. had another look and there is nothing earthed to the radiator panel.. it is ex army could they have done things differently do you think?!

Yes. Follow the black wire on the other side.

I may be wrong but earth wires appear to lead back to the main harness and disappear through the bulkhead into the dashboard rats nest of wires.. So both sides and the headlights come on when the sides switched are switched and just the sides are on when the headlights are turned on! Tried a new light switch and indicator stalk without success...

Sounds like the actual switch wiring needs reversing.
