Dunno, didn't get mine fixed. And I think it was a tendon / muscle attachment (not ligament) from upper to lower arm. Happened when I collected an off cut of worktop from a DIY store, arm just went "POP" and hurt like hell. Managed to get the worktop into my car but had a big problem being able to change gear when driving home. Arm turned black and blue. Should have gone to A&E, but never bothered. Healed ok, but arm is now down to the power of an ordinary man ----How do they fix that.
For my shoulder they opened it up and sewed the end of the ligament onto the bone. As the subscapularis repair can be broken by the head of the bicep (which runs underneath the subscapularis) can often pull the subscapularis back off they also cut the bicep attachment point off and dug a new hole in the humerus and sewed the head of the bicep into that. The 3 month recovery was hell. Much more painful than the total hip replacement. How do they fix that.
