I'm fully aware of the reputation of some of the Britpart parts I've use enough of them in the past, I tried obtaining a better make but couldn't, not at a sensible price. My understanding is that the 3 amigo's could/maybe triggered if one of the one-way valves or solenoid valve in the ABS unit...

A brand new master cylinder (ok a sh**part one), but the old master cylinder would occasionally by-pass pressure (allowing the pedal to drop) and the 3 amigos would come on, if I turned the ignition off they would clear for a while, then return when the pedal pushed through again... I've replaced my brake master cylinder, I tried bleeding the brakes (old school) NSF, OSF, NSR and OSR, if I pump the pedal its hard/solid when the pressure is released and re applied the pedal slowly goes to the floor. I'm thinking it needs power bleeding to remove any air in the ABS Unit, is...

I have now fabricated and turned the hydraulic press/arbors for Disco/P38 steering axle ball joints, seems to work well enough.. with a 30 ton ram....:rolleyes:....:D PS:- Anybody who is faced with replacing the ball joints and they don't have tools to press them out/in, I maybe able to help...

Order and fit new rear air bags....sorted. Takes about 45 mins per side, with a set of axle stands, a 3 ton trolley jack and 2 cups of tea...:)...

My 2001 disco failed the MOT on anti-roll bar ties and front axle knuckle ball joints last week, I replaced all 4 ball joints and anti-roll bar tie rods. Not a bad job really just done a bit differently.... Now I've done the job once, it's time to make a proper hydraulic removal/installation...
