Well in the end it was easy just in case anyone does have any problems Hold 2 and 6 (it gives you your serial number ) saved taking the unit out Then for a grand some of 99p (from eBay ) You get your code within a few minutes and get presto it works fine ... mines only a off roader field 4x4...

I’ve just checked my serial number by holding 2 and 6 .... Is the code the last 5 numbers ? Googling it points to this but how many goes do you get before it’s locked ??

So had the freelander a couple of months and the check engine light comes on 1 day and off the next . Drives well no loss of power . What will the cause likely to be ? Is it always a faulty o2 censor ? I can’t get it to a garage as no insurance or m o t it’s just used as a off roader Thanks
