My freelander (TD4) does on average of 33mpg, mixture of motorway and town. Mums freelander (2.2) averages around 39mpg mostly town driving.

The thing that bugs me about the design is the side window rubbers (the bit at the bottom of the windows), they collect all of the dirt and then when the window goes up or down it scratches the hell out of the glass. Could have easily been changed for different window seals but too late now!!

Just a quick thought, you would lose the ability to get in the back as the 5 door's dont move forward like the 3 door seats do. Moving on the runners all the time would be annoying.

Hi, I think a FL 1 would be reasonably comfy, if you folded the rear seats forward, there are only two small bars that would be annoying, but with a folded blanket (or similar) over them I think it would be fine. Granted not as much space as a 110 but would be good enough.
