Hello Kiwiwolf, Welcome to the forum. Pretty sure you are correct on fan removal. However I swapped mines [ 1990 truck] out for electric some thirty years ago.
Early 80's models had the previous Series model lift up recess type handle's. Swapping the whole door for later "car" type handle with wind up windows may be an answer.
Or is it you just want a better locking system? There are ways to fit...
That is a vain way to justify it. Many of us go to the effort of ensuring our vehicles are not illegal. In this case, wider wheel arches or even attaching some rubber to extend the factory ones is cheap and easy to do. Its just laziness not to do...
If body roll is bad, an anti-roll bar might suit better in addressing this issue.
There are a few air shocks about: https://gabriel.com/HiJackers
I've read up on them and reviews seem mixed, some people seem to find them fail quickly, others...
Tottot, Appreciate the quick response and yes my bad on the spelling.. I know better. Yes, a little premature as we just noticed on the other set. You helped confirm my dilemma. Thank you!!
Having the springs fitted correctly makes a big difference to whether the brakes work well or not.
When my son bought his Ninety they were fitted incorrectly.
Its Brake not break [as in broken]
Only the front "leading" Brake shoe has the pin that engages with the adjuster cam, it is also the place where the return spring hooks on behind the snail cam other end on the backplate.
Rear brake shoe only...
I can understand those Insa turbos chunky's making a racket on the arms.
For the sort of stuff you are doing as @300bhp/ton says spacers or offset rims would be fine.
Bearing strain tends to be more of an issue when very wide wheel/tire...
Issues with spacers are your tire can end to far out for the eyebrow to cover, a legal requirement in the UK.
Greater stress on the wheel bearings, just something to be aware of and keep an eye on.
Be aware it is not good to hold steering at the...
Before messing with the steering box do as @Dippypud notes above. Those steering shaft UJ's look rough and it is likely other joints in the system not good. Also check that steering rods are straight and not binding with anything.
From Your pic...
Turns out the replacement motor was faulty! I obtained a new new one and all is good (apart from the many hours wasted trying to sort out what was wrong!!!).
Thanks anyway.
Have a look at "Loctite" website as to how their compounds work. There are even ones that can add to a metal surface.
Removal is usually application of heat locally, in the case of a crank pully a blast on the end away from the seal.

Discovered on another forum that its a bypass valve from a London taxi, used in loads of kit cars and conversions as it's a simple option.
It's a 3.5 Efi with RR auto box .
Yep, fun going forwards but not so much fun stopping. Series single...
Driving home on a nice sunny afternoon. I was almost at my drive entrance when I saw something on the road ahead Looked like a wiper and arm Land Rover size. OH you got it, mine.π
Tip when doing yours lube the spindle axles where they enter the...
Reminds me of a rare occasion I took landy to work 80 miles in the rain... squeak squeak squeak from the wipers.... then on the A road all of a sudden peace and quiet..... ahhhhhh bliss... then the reality that the silence was due to the drivers...
Your boss was lucky if other than the shaft that is the only damage, a friend of mine was not so when his UJ which had been singing for a bit gave up and the flailing shaft punched a hole through the side of the gearbox!
I have a series 3 diesel farm run around. Would say poodling around the farm does not make the engine work hard so a good Italian tune up now and then clears out oily carbon gunge. π
Yes, I don't think I have that rubber any longer. I do have quite some leakage from the rocker cap vent, leaks on the o ring seal there and there is for sure some oil clogging that cap. I could give that a good clean, see if that helps it a...
Don't know about 2 ltr unit but on later models there is a little O at the top of the tube to seal when stick is in. The normal rocker box cap vent clear?
If the regulator fails sometimes the result is an alternator putting out to many volts, end result will be a fried battery. Check voltage at the alternator connection engine running, should be 14. something at most.
