right car all back to gether with new head gasket started ok went for test drive and runing realy nice and smoth to be honest seems even smother than b4 . had a prob with the back injecter leeking but took the feed pipe back off and reseated and that seems to be ok and car seems ok now made up...

got the pump wprking guys by past the thermal cut out switch jumped a wire accross from the orange to the black earth cable and pump wprking as it should till i can sort out a new switch many thanks for your help tony :D

D'oh :doh: got it wrong guys :eek: eventualy got a replacment ecu pluged it in with big smile on face thinking going to have suspention working again. started car but f--k compresser still not runing could not belive it because i had rooled everything els out i was at a loss what to do now...

hi guys put the head back on to day and got every thing back to gether and the car started and it ran sweet and no gasses in the water system so hopfully i have sorted it just wanted to ask if any body can tell me after i had the exhast manifold off do i need to renew the gaskets of can u reuse...

ok spent this morning cleaning up the head i think i may have found a crack between exhaust and in let valves for number 2 piston dose any body know if the water jackets run between the inlet ad exhaust valves.

i was getting gasses in the water way as soon as the engine was started and i did notes the some of the head bolts were not that tite ie did not have to put much fores to loosen them but sume of the othere were realy tite.

ok guys finaly got the head off to day can not see any thing ovious can not see any cracks at all is there a coman place where the may be a crack or if there was a crack would i see it straght away because as i say can not see any crack at all and block looks ok. so hopfuly it is just a failed...

yes i have to agree with u i must be the head gasket or cracked head keep me busy for a few weeks hay :eek:

hey guys how comon is it for a diesel p38 with bmw engine head gasket to blow ? the uthere day on motor way car over heated when i stoped the top of the radiator was cracked aparently comman problem. got new rad replaced but as car is runing the is rathere a lot off presure building up that much...

ok got a bit farther with this to day got the cable and software this morning and basicaly it showed a fauld (rl sencer out ) cleared the fault and it never returned but eas still not right lowered car to bump stops and then presrd switch to rase back up but nothing hapening because pump not...
