The engine is in a test rig. Its not connected to anything else; Ergo, its outside any wiring harness. Im just running starter cables from an external battery to the starter motor.

Battery good, voltage no clue. It drains the battery rather quickly though. Maybe a short?

This is the battery i use in my driving landrover. It throws that around fine. I dont think the battery is bad. Earth and positive are just jump leads i connect with the terminal and ground. I wouldnt think that is neccesairily bad?

Rebuild a petrol engine, the starter doesnt like to throw it around. Happens on a charged battery. Took out the ignition so doesnt spark/wrong timing. Bought the starter used, but rebuilt and refreshed. Anyone has any clues? Please see attatched...
