Ok but wouldn't a drain hole be underneath not half way up the air filter housing. Surely it should all be sealed?

So should this hole be filled in???

A bit of an update I cut an extra slot and fitted it. All looks ok.

Thanks for the reply I know it is a fliter housing but my question was. There is a hole in the side of the housing is it meant to be there?
