Final update. After a few weeks of motoring I cannot detect any difference in handling between the original ACE system on my D2 and the now inert roll bars fitted. So job done and highly recommended to other in the same situation.

BTW my repairs worked out slightly cheaper than a delete kit EXCEPT I bought a brand new rear ARB because it was cheap, rude not to.

I’ve been saying this for years. I simply can’t understand why people are advised to throw money away on maintaining or repairing ACE, when there is a cheap and very proficient work around. ACE is a very good system, but this or standard ARB’s...

Sounds like a plan, either small file and file a tiny flat middle of needle or you can use Brasso to remove tiny amounts off till you get an improvement, could be lean at top end though and rich lower down, that would give black plugs if you're...

WHY!!!!???? Simply weaken the mixture at the jet, by winding the jet up a lickle bit?? Going back to a needle that didn't work in the first place won't help, and filing anything off anywhere will simply richen the mixture at that point...

But the switch to BP5ES plugs has not resolved the sooting up problem. Which means it is probably running too rich for them too.

Plant pots is ideal for weeds to grow. Only way to deal with them is to pull them out when they appear. (In my opinion of course, I ain't Percy Thrower).
