hmm strange one. No idea what to do with that then. Either the rev counter has been messed with (the dash clocks have 100% been out) or its out of calibration I guess.

Hey Guys I had a moan recently regarding my P38 DSE not revving as highly as it should be... Well I am no wondering if its possible that I have a problem with my clocks.... the tickover shows around 450 - 500rpm which I know its not... Is there a way of adjusting the rev needle on the clocks?

No I haven't tried that to be honest! Will put that on my to do list.

Ok cool, checked the inside and they seem ok to me. Oily, but smooth with no issues that I can see. Is oil in the hose going to the manifold normal?

Hey Guys How soft should the intercooler hoses be? The one going to my EGR/Manifold feels quite soft, and was considering fitting a new one. Failing that, I am considering fitting a custom intercooler and making my own hose set up using metal/silicone

ok, thanks very much. I had a look at the map sensor earlier, all looks fine and connected correctly. I found 2 odd pipes coming from the transmission though, which are not connected to anything.....does anyone have a clue what they are, or if they should be connected to something...

Cheers guys I have a fault mate, and the only thing that comes up is the cruise control, but I know thats knackered Its had a new in tank pump, number 4 injector, glowplugs, air and fuel filter.. :doh:

Really appreciate the help guys. Not sure what to do really. I have changed the number 4 injector, and fitted a new pump in the tank. So, which is the map sensor, and how do I check it? :)

Maybe I'm expecting too much from it. I have the auto dse, and as mentioned previously it doesn't rev past 3250rpm even it kick down. No faults showing either :confused:
