Quick question. .. has anyone stuck bfg at ko2 285 75 16 on deep dish alloys? Spec sheet says they need at least 7.5 inch rims, and the deep dish is 7", I have 255s on at the moment, with no probs, but was going to go bigger. Will be running them on a disco 1 with 4"lift.

not sure whether the switch on the box works, guess not, as the toggle switch puts on/off the light whether in lock or not.. I just thought that it seems as much hassle wiring in a new switch as replacing the sender, when you have already pulled the car half to bits!, thanks for your thoughts tho...

Lol, no did it all over a few months, and put up with easy start when I needed to fire her up.. As for 'good', I don't know, but I don't feel mine is too bad, she has done 220,000 now, but never misses a beat(once started...!) and still has good power. Okay, the boot floor is rusted through...

..Just a quick update.... after being advised by a mechanic that it was definately a fuel starvation issue for not starting I replaced all fuel lines, leak off pipes, new lift pump, new fuel shut off solenoid, removed in line filter, replaced fuel filter, fitted a one way valve in engine bay...

Sorry to bother you again... you say the pump throttle shaft seal is wasy and cheap to replace? Do you know where I can find out how to go about this? I have searched online, but cant seem to get anywhere thanks again

cool... that might be the way forward then, just carry a set of ramps with me, and reverse her onto them at night, save all this hassle :clap2:

yeah, it will crank almost forever in the morning before firing, the only reason I had stayed away from the solenoid before now, is the fact that she starts good when warm, so always put it down to fuel...( and the fact that first time it happened, the AA man used easy start and jumped it, and...

Cheers folks.. I have more tubing so will re do the leak offs again, just to be sure! She had sat for about 4 hours this afternoon and had to crank her over for a good 30 seconds, which has not happened before so might be getting worse.. will have to keep an eye in it.
