Bump!

Panic over all sorted..:doh: stripped old alt down and matched it to the new one and wired it in following that and success!! another 10 landy mechanic points to me, the amatuer landy mechanic:) so i'll have the rest of my holiday (should be working today) to enjoy.. A run out in the landy...

i have removed my old alt and have a new one to put in, but the wiring doesnt match up, the new one is a bearmach and the old a marenlo?? i have two wires to conect up as in pics below the yellow marker is were the thick brown wire would connect but unsure on where the thin brown wire would...

hi while driving to work today in my 200tdi the battery light came on and stuck on, ok i had headlights on and heater and radio on too. is the battery at fault or the alternator? its bright red after starting and give it a rev and it dims, the maintenence mate at work reckons its the alt and...

shes gone on the back of a recovery wagon... i dont have the right tools and needed it as its a the main car in the family. it broke me... i was mad!! oh well i learn quick!!

today i try'd to fix my exhuast..... by fitting a new one... and i'll still be doing it tmrw!!! gggrrrrrr!!!!

and i wont get to landy show so so sick i am missing it tmrw!!!! surely i am doing some thing wrong if it wont go in or do you have to remove the cross member to fit a down pipe????

hi thanks for the lift up mate.. so low that i couldnt do it:mad: so you reckon i can remove the front cross member squeeze the exhuast in and put it all back in place and it will all hold together??? i started this job at 10am this morning and just gave in... shower time and a cider!! so...

maybe a silly qustion, can i remove it for ease to put in my downpipe? or will it just fall apart?? feeling real crap as cant even finnish a simple exhuast change.... plus a wanna get finnish'd and go to landy show

ok got everything i need and most of it is off BUT i cant get old front down pipe off??? the clamp to the turbo end is off but just cant manover it out..... Help!!!

hi ok the exhuast is here and my landy is up on brick's waiting for the old one to be removed, i have all the mounting rubbers but what else do i need?? Exhuast compound? or new gasket set? I know i need to get some new clamps for the turbo end and some 17mil nuts. cheers
