2nd car for when I cant fix the Disco over the weekend or need to fetch a fuel filter sensor that could not be removed but then started leaking.
Sticking with 'Rovers' I guess 200 series are bottom prices now.
Anyone have any experience/pitfalls to avoid when buying?
Fitted A/T's to our Disco 1 at 150k ran to 194k until rings went.
Tyres were ok on wet grass/muddy tracks not deep mud.
Felt insecure when braking on wet roads.
Have you tried the Watts linkage bushes at the rear axle.
Replaced mine last week, but before replacement the car felt like the rear was trying to steer.
Caused an unsettled ride.
Working thro' the issues with our td5, sunroof leaks, wobbling gear stick, leaking transer box & coolant loss...
Has anyone upgraded to Disco 3 and been plagued with faults or are they a more reliable and (expensive) option.
Mine started smoking at 194k.Blamed a cold start & a long hill in Cornwall...
Starting consuming oil.
Replaced head gasket but advised by mechanic that piston rings were broken.
Ive changed the injectors at 130-150k on my last two Disco's that seemed to cure sluggishness at all times...
Both 6k serviced & manifold/intercooler degreased.
Both without cat & EGR.
Dash mounted volume buttons work only with OE tuner ,check connections at rear of tuner,if there are any spare ones not connected (probably volume connectors)
