Slave cylinder changed and system bled and it is like a new clutch. Works a treat.

Just spoken to my mechanic, dropping it in later for them to check the system. He feels it may be the clutch itself though he has done a slave cylinders and the fork as well.

Tanks for the thoughts, but already lifted the lid of and the threads are gone in both bolt holes. The bolts simply drop down through the holes with their own weight. On one bolt there is a shard of the thread caught on the threads on the bolt. Just waiting for a call back from the...

Just checked the bill for service, on the 6th Dec. Secondary oil filter fitted so looks more and more like the goosed the thread in the housing.
