    Is that the only incompatability? My 200tdi gearbox has just given up. Can only creep forward with diff lock on. Grate noises!

    Locking without the alarm

    I have a '94 200 with the one button fob. I cant work out how to lock the car without setting the alarm. If I keep the dogs in there, the alarm goes off as soon as he/they move. Just locking the car with the key seemed to make no difference......suggestions please.......was thinking about taping...

    soooo....... my bearings have also welded themselves to the shaft. The hub wont come off at all now. I've managed to get the 2" nut off and you can see the bearings falling about behind the cage. I tried a blow torch - nothing. I put a puller on the hub and succeeded in bending the puller...

    Yes, thanks Jonathan, it also flows through the heater matrix so having the heater fan blow did help a bit.

    Hi from Biggin Hill. Just got a 94 200tdi - always wanted one - a very basic car that can do almost anything...except go fast... had great fun in the snow. a few things to fix - sills, electrics, washers but pretty easy to get to compared to others I've had. Looks a good forum....let's see.
