I would agree with Urban Panzer. mine started doing the same S&M light stuff when the battery was low. it would only happen if I started it and stuck it in gear quick. The system seemed to get confused due to low voltage. Changed battery and have never seen it again:D

Yes and no. If it is full of sh*t it may have blocked the line to or from the compressor. If I was you I would try and by-pass it and see what happens as it is far from ideal the way it is.
