I have one of these conversions in my Series III 88" and it adds an incredible amount of power, acceleration and fuel economy. The only downside is due to the type of mechanical injectors used it is a little bit louder than the Land Rover equivilent, however for the added power and fuel economy...

Does it make any difference if it's Petrol or Diesel?? I only have spare Series III wings at the moment, but I was just curious so I know for future reference. Thanks!

I'm thinking it was the cheap annoying company I ordered from on eBay that maybe didn't bother to include them rather than the manufacturer.... One thing I did notice though is that looking at them from the back side (from the mechanics pit) it appears that even though I tightened the bolts...

Interestingly I found that the bolts prevented the shoes from resting on the steady posts when installed correctly. I found that in my particular application, dual wheel cylinders (I believe I have Series III, 109", 4cyl axles/brakes installed to compensate for the larger, heavier Ford Transit...

I have both the Land Rover Repair Manual and the Haynes as well so between the two of them I did figure out the correct way to adjust it once I got the new shoes in... The new shoes on the front axles is a whole other issue that apparently is a very common one when u don't spend the big bucks on...

I have been searching and searching and finally found instructions on how to install and replace the brake adjusters! The BearMach kit appears to be good quality, but it came with no instructions so I hunted down a PDF as the only other one online I could find was such a poor quality resolution...

I'm going to screw around with the packing piece and see if I can get it to pretend to be tight, or somewhat secure. It just sort of surprises me that it's not designed to fit snugly in the hole and stay put =( Reminds me of an American car manufacture's motto "Not just good, just good enough"...

They could definitely be worn out, I think I'll attempt to bend the packing peice the other direction (it seems to be worn the wrong way, probably due to brute force being applied to the lever I assume) and see where that gets me, really wish I had done that prior to reassembling the whole mess...
