Always an awkward repair but more so when you’ve got to ensure it doesn’t knock out your lining up across the rest of the repairs.
Test fitting is a must. Takes longer but I don’t want to find I’m out on my boot floor which would then knock on to...
Do these big trips same time every year as the friend comes over from Germany just for lanes & overlanding.
As for local stuff…. I think August may be the next trip.
Can you let me know if you plan anything else in near future? I’m keen to do a bit in pig. Apart from private land that day I had a go in yours is last time I went. Years ago now. Time flies
Update….
3good days of lanes. We decided not to do strata as lots of bikes out on the Taffy Dakar.
They warned us 1 normal lane had a landrover off the edge & rolled down the bank & been there a few days. We was able to miss the section...
There’s a very good looking coniston green one on eBay at the moment that’s spent a lot of time at famous four. It’s up for 4k and I’d say it’s worth that 👍🏻
Manual 300tdi
As it stands, £200-500 really, but nobody is likely to accept that. The chassis and engine are worth money on their own, but obviously require work to get into individual bits. As a rule, parts will often add up to more than an entire vehicle.
A...
300tdi auto N reg onwards were edc engines, pre N reg they had normal throttle cables/injection pumps, EDC autos are slow beyond belief, though when chipped they will beat a std manual td5 hands down.

You’ll struggle at 2k unless you find someone who doesn’t know that they’re getting a bit rare.
If they don’t know it’s getting rare, then they don’t know D1s and more importantly the rust...
Stripped down the LT230, and everything other than the intermediate gear is in tip top shape, none of the gear fragments got into any of the bearings which is amazing tbh - good job this happened within a mile of home.
Here are the fragments...
Got the suspension section welded in then stopped and moved onto my other D1 as thought I’d left my drill at home.
Turned out to be in back of truck whole time 😂
I think, I’ve just fuel tank strap bracket left to do on chassis.
Also, been...
Thankyou for all the replies all those last comments made us feel better!
It's going into a local garage tomorrow 🤞 but we definitely want to learn more basics ourselves and this forum is so helpful! 😊
When you fill a fliud (other than engine) in a land rover its called a fill/level plug and there is usually an oil stain around said plug, because you fill until it dribbles out.
Post some more pics of it underneath. I dont know what you paid...
Finally, got some gas and new gloves. The welding supplies shop I use is sooo helpful and really good blokes.
I said my earth was too tired and in the way so he made me a nice thick one up with a new clamp.
Annoyingly, I assumed it would be a...

The 'power to the injector pump' actually goes to a solenoid/switch that opens when the ignition is turned on (and 12V is supplied) and closes (cutting off the fuel to the pump) when the ignition is turned off and 12V is removed.
It's what stops...
The small pipe is fuel leak off pipe to the pump.
I sent you a pm but basically you need to check for fuel going to lift pump, going to filter, going to injection pump.
It needs continuous 12v at stop solenoid to let fuel through.
When you are...
