Looking at the master cylinder the manufacturer stamp on it is AP, I assume that's not the original but an aftermarket cheapo...
Tried bleeding but to no avail. LR specialist by me sells the LUK one which I assume is the way to go?
Thanks
Thanks for the reply 👍
I read elsewhere that they were sealed units and didn't need bleeding but also read on here that people have tried to bleed them? I'm guessing it's just a case of give it a go and see what happens...
At 19 years old and 200k on the clock I think it will be time to let...
Hi
Clutch has always been bottom of the floor but have noticed that recently it has got worse. Considering changing the master cylinder to see if that makes any difference as when I felt the master cylinder push rod it felt as though it had some oil on it. If I install an OE one will I need to...
It's going back in to the garage that changed it tomorrow. In all fairness I don't think there's much life left in the old hippo now. Get this sorted now, but the next problem will consign it to the scrappers!!!
Shaft was changed as the mot noticed grease leaking from the cv boot. No vibration before it was changed.
Not sure what make the new one is but the garage charged £180 to supply and fit if that gives any indication.
Just wondered if it could cause any damage while I'm using it at the moment...
Hi All
Recently had the N/S front driveshaft changed and now have a noticeable vibration up to about 30mph. I'm a little concerned this could cause other damage.
Thoughts, advice, experienced greatly appreciated as always.
Thanks
Because the 875mm belt is the correct one for the TD4 on the earlier vin. Pitty it doesn't list multiple belts on their site as I'd have looked which one was right before hand...
So it transpires that from my vin the belt should be 884mm as opposed to the 875mm euro car parts gave me. So they are both kind of right and wrong at the same time...
Put reg in euro car parts and this is the one it gave me. Dug the old belt out the bin and its probably 3/4 " longer than the new one. Does the face lift 2006 TD4 have a slightly longer belt than the original TD4 by any chance?
Thanks for all your help Andy, much appreciated. Nothing looks wrong with the pulleys so I think it was just worn with age. In all fairness I don't know when they were last changed!
