i pressure tested it when warm and it lost no pressure

i put kseal in mine didn't make a difference im gutted part of me still want to try another rad on it but at same time don't want to waste the money

its getting one cheap enough and reliable

im now thinking it will be a slipped or cracked liner ive been to see a guy today at tonks 4x4 in huthwaite and he thinks it more than likely to be a liner after closer inspection it looks like the heads have been off. so now i am debating breaking her or just selling her for someone else to fix...

im tempted to go rad route first

when i said i got range rover hot it was to point that red light came on

i just went out for a spin in her again got her up to over heat again stopped and grabbed the fan and i could stop it it hadn't locked out i felt top of rad still red hot all pipes round top hot and hard felt rad in front of fan just warm

i am thinking of just buying a new rad then if that doesnt work look back towards heads and craked liners

i took water pump off yesterday that looked ok impeller was nice and secure but the pipe off the top of the rad only trickles back in to header tank where my mates 4.0 V8 has a nice little jet

well when i removed thermostat i poured some water through top hose and it did pour out of bottom hose

Well today i took the thermostat housing off mangled the thermostat so water could pass through took it for a spin and still over heats top hose red hot and rock solid and top of rad red hot. then i felt bottom of rad which is just warm and the pipe before thermostat is warm but all the pipe off...

n18rks when you did 75 mile was it in 1 trip with no probs? or 75 mile in a few different trips?

I hope we don't have cracked block, piston liners or heads perhaps running with thermostat in open position constant is an option wonder how far it could go on a run like this without over heating

Suppose I better drop the thermostat which is on the car in boiling water first see if that opens
