my earth point was actually clean which surprised me. ive made up a lead for the earth wire and mounted the receiver inside the cabin, in the netting storage that is above the rear seats - should keep it out the moisture

I was shocked at how bad it gets above the headliner! Easiest way is to pull out the interior light for the rear seats, then you can either reach in and undo the 6 nuts that hold the entire plastic piece into the headliner, or be an animal like me and just pry it off pulling the nuts through...

Mines a no sunroof either, it condensates like hell on the inside of the roof and saturates it Yes you’re probably right about my unlocking sequence though. Going to put the receiver unit back in today and hope it unlocks

Cut a slot out the old race then tapped it in no bother 👍 New discs are about twice as thick as what we’re about 20 year old discs with about 80k on them - pistons got moved back in so far I didn’t even need to top the fluid up when I replaced the solid brake line between flexi and caliper 🙂

wrapped the relay in a fair few layers of foil tape and i can now put the mic next to the relay and it doesnt trigger them. bosh!

i personally would make sure you've got breakdown cover and just keep driving the thing until whatever is whining quits whining and gives up, pretty easy to identify what it is then. then get an exchange unit from ashcroft
