So no real info apart from the SU carbs were worn and I was advised to do a 4 chamber hollie carb conversion and it worked a treat! Such a relief after 2 and a half years of agro! Happy days!

Hello all. Turns out the SU’s needed to be chucked over the fence. New manifold, and a Hollie carb has solved the problem! Thank you to everyone who has contributed here, plus my other threads with my theories of fuel pumps, electronic ignition...

Good luck! I seem to have something happen which sounds slightly similar, have twin tanks, been told maybe change over valve is allowing air in to the fuel system :/
