Ahh if its a plug in chip... they fool the ecu into thinking its fueling X amount when its actually adding a little more. So yeah the trip computer would be slightly out. But the if its remapped "chipped" ECU it should know how much its putting in.

Yeah Ianmjdun is right, the ecu should know what fuel has been used even if it been chipped diesel, petrol or LPG. Has anyone tried clearing out their intercooler with a glug of petrol to see if it improves the diesel a bit?
