Apologies for not updating. Was a fine job done by trig thank you very much. The land rover is still there where it was pulled to, as it has an earth wire fault so I cannot get any life to it, to even put it into neutral to tow it anywhere else. Fun, times.

It is a winch job. Lots of trees to tie another land rover too and winch out. Needs a winch. The ground is boggy, I have a polaris ranger that got stuck there. Had to hand winch it out.

Yep got one of those, I think the worst problem is that I am always on my own. No help. I was probably about 3 feet from safety going backwards but had no reverse power, got it moving by using a stick to push the accelarator whilst i winched. then got so far and ran out of trees....so I bombed...

No, you can get access via a land rover. Might have to winch up a bank though. Tractor cant get up the bank. There is trees to winch to. If my winch was working I would have been ok. Basically I got stranded rescuing someone else.

Oh, and it has no power for reverse, head gasket is gone. Got a new engine waiting to be put in since September (96k miles allegedly)

It is on private land. Yes there is access. It is bogged down. Cannot get a tractor there.
