No it's metal same as on the transit engine

Will putting a magnetic sump plug on and running the engine be a good idea ?

The end of the dipstick has broken off and presumably fallen into the sump. Anybody had similar issue and how did you resolve. I have drained the oil and flushed with engine flush but no sign of the missing part. Any other ideas ? Thanks
