Tried it is as if the battery is flat hooked a second battery to it and it still does the same. Could the imobiliser have some part to play in starting problems?

Still got same intermittent starting problem good battery good starter even put a wire from battery to starter but it will not turn over properly its as if battery is flat if I leave for a bit it will then start on key Any other ideas Please

Fingers crossed nothing else will go wrong with my discovery before next weekend and I will be coming to the show I will make sure to come and introduce myself.

Jump leads to battery new battery and new starter

I have a P reg discovery 300tdi. I have replaced the starter motor and the battery, it will start no problem for a while then it won't start and sounds like there's not enough power to tun the engine over, if you connect jump leads to it ,it still sounds the same, but it will bump start any ideas???
