will a disco 1 v8 manual transfer box fit on an auto box?

hi thanks for the ideas, had a look today and the mechanism is free and moves correctly. it does drive but clicks along with road speed. thinking that maybe a pin has worked its way out on the selector and now it is stuck in diff lock?! any one got a transfer box for sale??
