the box should be fine, get a thule one, usually found on offer at halfords :) you'll find the fittings make them very adjustable, and thule are about the best i've seen :)

no problem :) basically the timing normally needs to be adjusted to compensate for the different combustion properties of LPG, i.e ignition temperature etc. a lot of bodgit and scarper type companies just whack the timing round till it works onm LPG fine. trouble is when you go back to petrol...

do they have a hot start solenoid? i'd be inclined to say its a glow plug at first as ming has said, but if the freelanders have hot start solenoids it could be related to that.

3 weeks for a paint job is a pretty long time! i'd be inclined to go for the full rub down and respray to be honest mate. dont know what warrantly land rover provide on the paint, if any at all. be surprised if its more than a year if there is one though. especially on defenders which generally...
