It`s a 97 plate. couldnt see any water leaks but there is water in the expansion tank. there is oil dripping from underneath though so was hoping it would be something simple. Well, simple for a P38 anyway! Im hoping the burning was just oil on the manifold but it was too hot to have a good look

you could try black grate polish. I used it on my disco bumpers/running boards and they came up a treat!! Lasts longer than that other stuff and its cheaper!:)

Thanx chaps, just got in from work so i`m gonna set to it now. Becm has what looks like the original vin number written on it (SALLFAMJ3TA342229) and the eka code so i may be able to order a new key from that or fob at least. Anyway gotta go , i want to hear the v8 rumble again:)

BeCM is on it`s way(apparently) so all being well, should be back up and running this w/end. Not sure how to get new fobs though coz it looks like the becm & engine ecu have been changed ( yellow writing on both) at some point and the fobs are linked to the becm. How do i find out what to order...

Been phoning every day and the tracking number they gave him doesn`t exist. but fair play to the chap, he chased it and turned out it was sat on a shelf in worcester sorting office cos the tracking number wasn`t on their system. so they gave it a new number and it should be here today. Hooray...
