Ive had all sorts of issues from sensors being out of alignment. Bags deflating, ride height issues where the front was higher than the rear by a good 40mm+. Random fault messages.......
For me, had to drop the car to the bump stops and bend the...
I still need the solution.
it worked very well as follows:
loosen the rear screws (4 pieces, 2 on the left and 2 on the right) and lower them slowly. I supported it with the paper rolls. Then I was able to pull the sun visor out to the rear...
Took her for a little drive........... to the cemetery. No it wasn't to threaten her 🤣 Just a visit to my Nan on her birthday. I'd bought a box of those garden lights that aren't too bright, and put a couple near the headstone.
It was a box...
Truetrac in the back, no limited slip ones for 10 spline front axles, unfortunately. According to Ashcroft, pegging also helps to mitigate shock loads. And those pegged diff housing from Ashcroft are new ones. Maybe I get myself a ARB locker for...
People normally only peg the diff with locking diffs? Rangie has centre diff but not usually locking axles, unless you added them?
Limited slip diff would be good.
Why not just get them to build a diff with an ATB, and sell what you have?
I have to agree, sometimes although we could do something doesnt make it value for money, and getting somebody else to do it is often worth it.
Totally agree, although...
4 pin only goes with 23 spline axles, I still have 10 spline ones. Switching over is not cheap. I did think about getting an ARB locker for the front diff, so far that is out of the budget. Plus, those need a compressor. A pitty the front true...
No, didn't solve that. Decided that this wholeix-matching is just a pain, and will result in a bunch of missing parts and parts I cannot use. Considered a pegged housing, new pinion and crown wheel, parts and a rebuild kit for bearings and such...
Interesting and timely this; my friend had an issue with his this weekend where the compressor was overheating but his car wouldn't lower. It won't be the same for yours but we can use some of the same troubleshooting steps.
I'm not sure how...
As above. One of ours went missing for over a month. Turned out he had got shut in a barn. He also came back rather thin and has been noticeable reluctant to stray far since. Fingers crossed for a safe return.
Edit, pleased the cat is back.
Good news, the cat is back! She limps, but is otherwise fine. She sits in drive way bow, guarding the entrance. If I counted correctly, it is life 3 that is gone. Maybe even number four. She sure lives dangerously!😅🥰
In other news, I found out...
@Frank_38 read this thread https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/p38-battery-drain.364514/#post-4994309
and go through the battery drain checks in BECM SID attached to post #32 in that thread. That will confirm if the problem is the RF...
A low battery can also cause the alarm to go crazy. As you use the key not the FOB, you can safely disconnect the blue aerial wire. If that doesn't help, disconnect the 3 pin connector to isolate the RF receiver completely, I have known an RF...
ok, but these settings can only be configured with nanocom, right? or how can i deactivate the alarm system?
Should I disconnect the blue cable? thanks!
Well if it has been flashing all night then yes it is likely the alarm has been triggered. But if there was no sound at all it is also likely that the security settings are to sound the alarm sounder but maybe that has been disconnected?
It is...
Sounds like normal slack to me ;). Plus, wheres the handbrake? may be a reason the rear didnt move🤔.
If you are going to rebuild 1 with your truetrac why not just get the pegged housing surely that saves a bunch of cash?
I take it you have got...
