Hello from South Wales. New to Landrovers looking to get my first and plunging both feet into a Range Rover Sport TDv8
Currently own 2 MGB Roadsters and a MG HS. Looking for something to use as a MTB carrier though as the wife doesn't like the...

A lot of cosmetic work still to do. The roof was beyond financial repair paint work wise so I went for raptor Bedliner through a HVLP gun to keep the texture down. There is a roof tent in the near future so it’ll be more robust for the inevitable...
Evening all, just thought I’d introduce myself as I couldn’t find this section earlier.
Bought a 2002 TD5 discovery 2 a month or so ago and have been doing a huge service on it since. So far ive done the following.

Thank you. 😁 I prefer to fix any issues as soon as possible. Costs less in the long run and hopefully will keep her going.
She was showing a weird issue in the paintwork. It looked like someone had run a wheel with shallow spikes over partof...
Filler surprisingly goes a long way. First pass, letting that go off, then another layer on the deeper damage, then the dyeing bit. Hopefully there's enough black dye to change the colour from cream.
Somewhat, I got the speedo to work again. However, I ultimately decided to switch the unit with a second hand one, since I wanted to be able to keep track of the mileage. That one works fine up to about a 100 kp/h (it’s in kilometers instead of...
I think the heated screen uses the same. In fact i think all yellow ones are the same regardless of the number. Someone may disagree.
Swap out the heated screen one as I guess you're not going to use that this week.. see what happens
Do NOT mess with the Nanocom Startup Settings menu.
After power-on, for Wabco faults on your diseasel, select these options in order:

For a stress free life, forget the EKA, turn it and the immobiliser off then you will never need iEKA and can use the key blade if the FOB doesn't work.
Before I went on holiday I said I was going down route of 1 tyre onto fubared one of old set. Guess what I lied. Going through the bay of E a tyre place not 3 miles away had 2 excellent Michelin Synchrone tyres the correct size with free fitting...
I will give my 2c worth.
The HP24 was never fitted to the diesel, so becareful.
The Transfer boxs are all the same as far as I know.
Now do you have somebody close who you trust to rebuild the box +suppy TC?
Would a secondhand box from a...
It’s not like a straight swap or for the feint of heart.
You don’t have a clutch pedal or associated requirements like master/slave cylinders, cooling for it, electrics all sorts of niggles before you even get to adapting a box to fit. That...
This is my thoughts.
Have you ever tried the ignition key in the glove box? (Probably not, we all don’t ;))
You have never tried the EKA so you don’t know if it’s correct or not?
The fob works so is correct for the BECM to know it. Doesn’t mean...
EKA is just a substitute for the FOB code and becomes an automatic function when it is turned off.
Edit: and the immobiliser is turned off. Turn off EKA and not the immobiliser and if the FOB does not work you are in deep do do.
@marjon So, the way it works. Starting with the car locked, EKA and immobiliser turned on. Unlocking with the FOB, a code is sent to the BECM, if the code is valid, the BECM unlocks the car and prepares to send the remobilisation code which...
