Update: They pushed the car out of the garage and it started to behave normally again. Keyfob works and engine starts. Perhaps an issue with RF interference. It's now sitting pretty on my drive 😊 I'll have to check if I have the updated RF...

Drive Cycles are in RAVE. Definitely a challenge to do leagally without MOT or Insurance !

I'd give all the pipes around the engine and heater a good check over, mine have been replaced over the last two years due to age. Far cheaper than a cracked cylinder head👌

Thank you for all you advice and guidance everyone. It turned out to be to be the pipe that goes from the radiator to the expansion tank, so all fixed! For now 😅

Given what you’ve learned through this experience I doubt you’ll struggle with a lockout again, aslong as your micro switches stay good (they take decades to go). Just don’t go using superlock feature, ever

If you want a professional job I'd recommend Royal Steering Wheels in Aylesbury. Had a Saab 9-5 steering wheel done by them and was amazing finish. Bit of a trek but could post as an option. Or I pass by that way often and could LRFerry for you.

You have others why not measure them? Try a motorcycle panel rubber thingy, or many other car makers they all seem to use them. They sure as hell dont make them in house so most peeps will use the same...
