Well I’m already under the truck, takes time wow. Tried warming up the sachet and it blew. Found an easier way personally for me, but when I clean this out one day I will probably switch to oil. Hope this method is an alternative for some who...
I lied, my local LR just got a case of 10. Last time I called they said they didnt have it. Guy told me when there is a car in for service that needs that part they will order a case (LR cost) and service that part. Just a chance of right timing.
But at the core route of why use grease over oil is for leakage? I don’t see there being a performance reason as I would believe gear oil would lube much better than grease?
Since you posted this I did some research, and I learned that LR used gear oil in the swivel pins previously.
One shot grease is not hard to get unless I order overseas but purely out of convenience and cost, can I not just use 80w-90 as the...
You can also in most situations , just take off in 2nd gear. Play around with second in gear when your taking off, may help you.
Worth a mention, There is a lighter spring for the clutch pedal you can purchase for a softer pedal and shorter gear...
I set off in 1st gear and straight away I change into 2nd gear. I don't know what speed it is, barely much faster than walking speed. Basically I have found 1st gear is only for setting off after coming to a stand still
Update, noise is gone all together for the last three days. I leave the key turned to prime the pump but won't start it for about 30sec after the pump is primed and then when I do give it a start it sounds fine. Seems to be working. Not sure if...
Your memory is wrong ;).
Front ABS is what you have it points down on the cv that has a segmented edge directly under (through the pin)
Can you spot the difference here...
I remember now when putting back my rotor + assembly for the rear I forgot this ring. Instantly triggered abs after just creeping. Was so confused until I realized the mistake.
I thought this happened to my front. Thanks for clarifying.
Well...
No this is wrong. That is the ABS sensor that senses the wheel movement. In the rear this would sit horizontal to the hub itself not vertically as shown in my photo. For the Front from my memory when doing my brakes it was the same as the back...
What is the pipe the connects to the top of that pin for swivel? Is this a hydraulic pipe or squirter???? Looks like my brake pipe that goes to my caliper
Filled the tank the other day, no difference. Same symptoms. I don't know. May drop the tank. Not much of a job. 4 bolts and undoing the two filler/breather hoses. Could be gunked up? I am leaning towards my fuel pump. I am getting mixed...
I understand that there is a 12v+ source coming out from one side of the fuse socket and then live side going to the TC system.
I still don't understand If I put a piggyback fuse there how I am rerouting the live wire back to the TC system if...
Nope, I have
No I have not. I just watched a video on how to do it.
I am thinking of ordering shims if I have to do this. I am guessing I would need them?
Why does this happen? Is it because over time the shims compress and thin out?
Okay so let me give now a real situation that happened yesterday.
I was commuting on the my highway (motorway) and like mentioned before 80km/hr, every time, No issues. However, once I got to 85-87 I got a nasty wobble, on this particular part...
Thank you again!
All understood and thank you for your patience’s.
I am only confused on where to reroute the live wire after the switch if the piggyback fuse is there?
If there is only an output wire, how do I reroute it back to the tc...
Thank Thank you very much for this. No relay needed?
Which piggyback fuse? Sorry very novice with knowledge for parts on this.
I feel I should be using the gold tap, 12v to switch and inline fuse to TC system
Sorry very novice with...
