I've come to the conclusion its the heater plug in the inlet manifold. I've tested for fuel in several places and its fine. I can get the car started with easy start sprayed on the heater plug in the manifold. I ahve also noticed the heater plug has a brown single cable running off it. This runs...

Dont think there was. Another thing I've noticed is the core plug that goes into the inlet manifold isn't wired up. The cable is just bare inside the cab. However next to is a 12v feed off the battery. I'm guessing someone connected them together to get the plug warm before starting. Does...

The brown cable going to it isn't connected in the cab. Should this be connected to 12v off the ignition switch?

Would I be able to use a jerry can and siphon diesel from that too the engine diverting the fuel pump to test it?

I'm getting fuel to injectors. Not lots just a dribble. It starts only with easy start but then just cuts out. I was wondering whether it could be a air blockage?

Hi, I've tried getting the engine running today. I can get it started by squirting the inlet manifold with easy start. When i turn the key the engine turns over but immediatly drops off. Any ideas?

It's just in the left hand top corner of the engine bay. Goes through to the cab just below the heater. Hopefully I might be able to fibreglass it once I've got rid of the rust.

I'm no expert but it isn't too bad. Looks to be very straight. Has bits of bubbling rust here and there and a couple of holes one in the engine and one on the right door. Hopefully nothing too major. Currently has a diesel engine fitted however has the original petrol in the boot. The old owner...

Hiya guys, I'm trying to determine the year my Landrover was built as it's either just out of being tax free or just in as far as I'm aware and I believe the tax free criteria is down to when it was built and not when it was registered. Is this correct?
