Won't a 5 bike carrier be too much for the spare wheel bracket? If you have a tow bar fitted, why not go for this option? Thule may have what you're looking for

+1. This happened on one of my previous vehicles and it took some time to get all the oil out of the cooling system. The oil will go to the expansion tank as this is the highest point for the system

Hi On the td4 auto there's a button where you activate/de activate the cruise control. I'm doing a lot of mixed driving and sometimes (most of the times) forget de activate the cruise control button. Will it do any harm just to leave it on all the times and just operate on the steering...

Now that the box is repaired the abs sensor is faulty end needs to be replaced and waiting for delivery. Hopefully Monday . . .

I'm just glad it is the dealership that is paying for HIS mechanics fault and not me! At least I'm getting a fully refurbished box :)

I also suspect that he took out the wrong nut when draining the box - but he/the tool boy will never admit it. What really confuses me is why would the oil come out of the breather if no oil was added before to cause an over fill? (As I would have seen that it is leaking after a 100km drive.)...

Okey some more feedback. The dealer confirmed that some of the 'belts' inside the gearbox is burned and needs to be replaced - that is why the oil was coming out of the breather. Box is being redone and should be fixed by Monday

Okey. Some feedback . . . The CV's is in and should be fixed - I'm saying should be as the mech did 'something' and doesn't engage Reverse & the TC light comes on! He took the vehicle to a LR independent yesterday and they still couldn't fix it. Today the vehicle is going to a LR dealership...

I didn't notice any strange gear changes and only noticed the oil after a 650km trip. No leaks before . . .
