Investigated knocks and rattles from the front suspension today. Whipped off the drop links and went for a quick spin. The links were pretty tired and most of the noises were eliminated, except the worst knock. New HD links on order and the search for the culprit continues. Prime suspect = OSF...

Did the school run it it today. It failed to start after the pickup. A wiggle of the starter wiring and she was away!

I'd just like to point out that I'm not posting about this thread and I am ignoring it, but that thread just doesn't cut the mustard. I think I'll definitely stay clear of it.

GKN shafts are hard to come by now mind. Are there other reasonably high quality alternatives?

I would imagine it would need to be closer. I replaced one on my BMW this time last year because it had rubbed on the reluctor ring. I put a spacer under the new one which was less than 1mm thick and it didn't work. I took the spacer out and it's been fine since
