It's a 2011 TD4 Diesel Manual. I used to get the cranking sounds when driving around sharp bends. Disconnecting the cable connector at the Haldex unit stops the problem.
Wow, that steep for sure!. I guess I. will go for a reconditioned one. I have not tried to service the older one because I couldn't get the service+repair kit in my country. So since I am in UK I will also pick that to try service first.

I drive a Freelander 2.2 Diesel with Abt 100k on mileage. We diagnosed a problem with Haldex which I disconnect and driving as 2-Front wheel drive only.
Anyone with idea where I can order a new Haldex Unit in the UK...
