Ahh great is that the 1.22 box ? with mine being the 300tdi do I need a transfer box from another 300 or I’ll a td5 or 200tdi one fit?

Im going to change the transfer box on the defender 300tdi . I was wondering what transfer box would be best to put in ? The discovery 1.22 box is what everyone seems to talk about . Would this be a straight forward fit to the 300tdi ? I can sit at 55mph on a motorway and stress it at 60 but...

Hey all my rear axle seals are leaking bad and I wasn’t sure if it’s from the actual seal or the diff flange as there’s too much oil to tell . Is there a way to check or am I best just ordering the seal for £6 rather than the diff flange for £40

I’ll measure the holes as stated above and do abit of adapting to make it work . Thanks guys appreciate it

Hi all I have an 89 defender with the old big square reverse and brake lights at the back . Ive updated all the indicator lights ect with the Wipac set and I’ve seen the new clear circular LED shape brake and reverse lights and was wondering if they would be a straight swap for my old square ones ?

I have 275/75/18s on the car so I think a disco transfer box may be the answer.’ I’m assuming as long as it’s from a 300tdi it will be a straight fit ?

I might have a look into the box transfer . I wonder it it would get me the extra 10mph or not

Hi all I have a defender 300tdi and it’s just had the oils changed and serviced . It cruises at about 50-55mph max if I push anymore than this it’s high revs and isn’t worth it. My tyres are normal size and everything runs smooth. I’m not wanting a fast defender by any means haha but what speed...

Up and left is reverse also is the transfer box needed a different oil ?

How common would it be to change the gearbox after changing the engine as I have no idea if it’s been swapped . It’s only got 80k on so I doubt it’s been changed

Hi all . I’m just wondering what part I need to change my bonnet catch. Currently I have the rubber bungs on the external of the side wings that connect into each side of the bonnet to Keep it attached down . Is there a conversion of some sort I need so I can get rid of the side catches ...

That’s not a problem I don’t mind buying door cards and glass ect . Do I need to buy a new door handle catch ?
