Yes you did read that correct hot start :confused: Defender 200tdi starts lovely when cold -2 the other morning 5 sec of heat and starts on the first flick of the key every time! But after a good run 20+ miles pull over to go in shop get fuel etc so out the truck for a few minutes! Jump back in...

Dropped of ready for MOT tomorrow, exhaust is too loud tho it’s going to be changed, sounds cool but is just to asbo for me.

So the mistakes have been buying turbo cartridge of eBay! and I must of had the push rod on valve 7 out of line! lesson learned

to remove the push rod can i just undo the rocker and push it to one side ?

just been back out and started it with rocker cover off and it doesn't move at all , luckily it is shut so hopefully no damage has been caused can i remove just that push rod ?

been having issues with smoke so have been playing with pump timing fuel lines etc but never seems to change the smoke so today i thought i would check valve clearances all seem to be fine until got no7 and it just doesn't move turn engine over several times and nothing all the rest are going up...

Had a bit more time on it today to actually get it up to temp etc and it runs like sh*t lumpy and missing smoking and stinking of fuel ,will re check timing first but the pump has definitely been played with at some point as anti tampering thing on back screw is missing and the four screws on...

I had a Navara for a few years as well nice trucks but only good with wieght in the back!! I got my headlights from bolt on bits find them on eBay , I put mine through water a few times with no problem. Not sure if they do headlights for newer landys but worth a look

Old 2.5 lump out Got the flywheel housing , clutch etc bolted onto the 200 and radiator and intercooler into the frame just need to drop the mounts then I will drop the new lump in hopefully this Friday
