Can anyone advise if the Crankshaft caps on the 2.7 TDV6 are matched to the block? I have found a cheap block but it doesnt have the crank caps - I have the crank caps of my engine but not sure if they are matched to the block like to con rods and con rod caps - thanks in adance.

UPDATE - I got both cylinder heads off as you can see, the left hand side was a bit of a PITA but eventually got it off - however I have identified another problem and need advice, it looks like the blown head gasket across pots 1 & 2 have corroded the block sealing surface ( see pics ) to me it...

The Engine was cold - and yes my coolant system was pressurising to the point where the Expansion tank cap was popping every 15 seconds or so to vent the steam/smoke

I will also need to check the piston prortrusion when the heads are off and get the correct notch gaskets wont I?
