Update:- garage was putting on 150 amp alternators where as James Edwards of Chester says it should be 120 amp, by the I forgot to mention that the car is a Freelander 1 TD4 52 plate. Regards Chas

Hi all, have noticed that my right hand side speakers(Freelander 1 2002) have ceased to work (they were working til now) has any one got any ideas? are they linked or are they separated to the block within the dash? any help would be great before i start ripping the doors apart. Cheers Chas

UPDATE... was told by garage that one of the push rods had broke then shattered but don't know why it broke, (engine done over 150000) so another engine going in. But is there any way to find out how old the engine is that's going in, the garage says it's out of a same year car but I don't...

Hi to all broke down yesterday got towed to garage. Freelander td4 52 reg A flapping sound was coming from engine then thud sound then engine cut out now will not turn over, the crank moves slightly but not turning, no engine lights on dash so any thoughts of what it might be. Regards Chas :(

Hello again, just changed the fuel filter on my td4 under the wheel arch what a job that was but done it. But I have a question? Is there a conversion kit or something to move the filter/pump to somewhere into the engine compartment for future changes. Any thoughts from anyone?? :)

So how do i look inside the rear wheel arch as there is nothing else by the battery. ?
